We are embarking on our retirement dream to travel the country...in a 38' Bighorn 3670 5th wheel to be exact. We sold our house in Pensacola, stored our "can't part with valuables", gave away a lot of stuff and made many trips to Goodwill. It was a bit of controlled chaos getting set up to have no permanent residency, but it is accomplished and we are underway!
Those who know us well are concerned that 38' is a small space for us to share day-to-day having been accustomed to long work days away from each other. Stay tuned for reports on the togetherness meter!
Knowing that we are technologically challenged, many of you ignored that fact and requested we "blog." We're happy to TRY and let you know where we are and what mischief we are up to. We want to hear from you too. For what are are we without our loved ones??

  1. Hey! Thanks for sharing! What a wonderful start to a wonderful next chapter. Enjoy! Jeez, Al, you could fill up the trailer with 4 ft. spruce for Bucksport when you're up this way. :-) Suppose Anne-Marie would mind?
    Best wishes to you both.

  2. Hi Anne-Marie and Al,
So glad you put aside your tech-savvy fears and went ahead to create this blog! I'm so excited to share your adventure... jealous... but really wish you all the best. How exactly do two people (and two cats) share such a tiny space? Well, your truck looks like it could double as a "time out" area. Ha! Has Al tried stretching out on the seat of the truck, you know, just to size it up for future use? Just kidding. You two have a wonderful adventure and I'll be following you, in spirit anyway!
