Puyallup, WA

June 2011. The diagnosis was lymphoma. The protocal was a minimum of 6 chemo treatments (R-CHOP)spread over 5 months. After much research on Al's part, and much wailing on my part, and a visit to the much renowned Seattle Cancer Center, we decided to undergo treatment at an affiliated center in Puyallup. It was a good decision. We found an excellent Oncologist and phenomenal nurses at the Infusion Center where we endured day-long treatments. Al, henceforth, called Nightingale, took exceptionally good care of me and exhibited patience I don't believe he knew he possessed. Long story short, of the 21-days between treatments, I felt somewhat normal for one week.

We are blessed with great friends, great family and great kids! Visitors came from the four corners of the country, cards and care packages arrived regularly in the mail, and the phone rang often. The support we each received, the stricken and the caretaker alike, was awesome! The coast-to-coast prayers and well wishes, complemented by the monthly cocktail of poison, worked magic!

November 2011. After our journey through hell, our hero, Dr. Jasmine Daniels proclaimed me disease free. Thank God and Hallelujah! Life can now resume.

During our six months in Seattle, we had the pleasure of seeing Mt. Rainier in all four seasons. In late June, it was still

winter at Paradise Visitor Center. July was springtime at Sunrise. Summer arrived in August, September brought autumn and in late October winter returned.
