Al's King Salmon

June 2012
After many attempts at updating the blog, a less than perfect internet connection finally got the better of me...and I gave up.  However, Google Chrome seems to have superior features.  Here's to another effort.

A beautiful King from the Kasiloff River.

Alaskans descend upon the Kenai Peninsula in mid-July to dipnet their quota of salmon.

The fishing frenzy at Beluga Point in Kenai.

The Head of Household is entitled to 25 salmon and 10 for each additional member of the family...if memory serves.

We, of course, could not participate in dipnetting, but the family fisherman provided us plenty of Sockeye, Silver and Pink salmon for freezing, smoking and canning!  It is so GOOD!
